The pictures seem nice and pretty, and some are even pretty amazing. But, I can tell what makes a large majority of the pictured bridges “amazing.”
What is the one where it looks like the road goes underwater??
i’m surprised you didn’t include any by calatrava, or maybe the millau bridge.
neat list.
Very nice, a few captions like name, and where could be nicer
Thanks for sharing this one.
nice, but, what about the millau bridge?

The third “bridge” is clearly an aqueduct.
The one going under water is in Virginia. It goes under the Chesapeake Bay.
the third one is not a bridge… its an a roman aqueduct… but hey… close enough…
@2 anon, that’s the hampton roads bridge tunnel between hampton and norfolk virginia, usa.
one is not a bridge….its an aqueduct…
Captions including the name and locations of the bridges would be helpful. But the shots are nice.
I believe the one going underwater is the Chesapeake Bay Bridge & Tunnel.
If not, well, that one goes underwater, too. It’s a spectacular drive — like driving out on the open ocean next to supertankers.
ok, buuuut… that 3°rd pic is an aquaduct, not a bridge!
THE ONE THAT GOES UNDERWATER IS THE ORESUND BRIDGE/TUNNEL THAT GOES FROM COPENHAGEN, DENMARK TO MALMO, SWEDEN. I THINK THAT THE ONE WITH THE BENCHES IS THAT BRIDGE ALSO.
any chance you could put the locations of the bridges? maybe names?

What about the Bixby Bridge in Big Sur?
What about the first ever iron bridge? Gotta hell of a lot of history, and it looks pretty impressive too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Iron_Bridge
The one that goes underwater is in Tokyo bay.
